Making Article Writing Easy – Using Amazon For Ideas

By Mary Gallivan

In order to get the full benefits from article marketing it is essential to submit lots of articles to article directories as well as your blogs or websites. The keywords that you use in your articles are picked up by search engines and your articles get more exposure to people who look for those keywords.

When you are writing lots of articles it can sometimes be difficult to get inspiration for them. Here are a number ways I’ve found that will find content for your articles.

You may already have ideas of your own that you can research online using Google or any other search engine. Don’t forget to also use your local library, newspapers and magazines, or ask family and friends for information.

But did you know that Amazon is also a great place to find topics and ideas for a new article? I have been using Amazon for some time now to find interesting articles about a whole range of ideas.

Let me show you how it’s done…

Just imagine this - you’re in a massive bookstore that has all the books on the topic you are researching. They’re there, right in front of you, all at the same time, day and night. All you have to do is reach out to see inside a book and find chapters that have the keywords you are looking for in them.

Well, Amazon is this bookstore. What’s more Amazon has done all the hard work for you because they created a brilliant tool called ‘Search Inside’ which is ideal for researching content.

This is how you use it…

Log into Amazon and select Books from the Search Box and enter your keywords in the box beside that. You will then get a list of books relevant to the keywords you typed in. When you click on the ‘Search Inside’ link at the top of the book cover you get to have a peek inside the book at its table of contents.

You can make notes of the contents and use them to create your new articles. You can even read sample chapters of a book if you have an Amazon account.

If your keyword search does not produce many books or worse still, no books, then think again about the keywords you are using. Face it, if there are no books centered on your keyword then it’s probably not popular.

There. You now have another method for researching. Make use of it and start writing high quality articles. The more good quality articles you submit the more chance you have of bringing visitors to your website.

Remember, if the books that appear from your search are already selling on Amazon there must be a market for them and you will be getting ideas from professional writers who know what they’re talking about.

How To Choose an Affiliate Programme

By Mary Gallivan

Before you join any affiliate programme do some research about the choices on offer. Most of the affiliate programmes nowadays are free to join but there are some that make a charge, why pay to join one when you can join one for free?

The following are some points to bear in mind and are in no particular order of importance.

Assuming you have done some research on profitable niches to explore, is the product one which fits in with the niche you have in mind? You will need to write quality articles that are informative in order to promote that product - will you be able to do that?

Look at when they issue the commission cheques. Every one is different - some will pay monthly, once a quarter, when a certain amount has been accumulated etc. Select the one that is most suited to your payment time choice.

Find out whom you are doing business with to know if it is really a solid company. Know the products they are selling and the average conversion rate they are achieving. The more you know about who is offering the affiliate programme, the easier it will be for you to know if it’s really for you and your requirements.

What is the amount of commission paid? If you look at Clickbank you will find many that offer anything up to about 75%. However a program that offers a higher conversion rate with 50% commission may be more lucrative to you than a poorer selling one at a higher commission rate.

If you try using these tips for several affiliate marketing programmes you can end up maintaining a good source of income. Start out with just one affiliate programme and build up from there, think of the huge payments you will be receiving…

It’s not very difficult to do, if you think about it, it just requires a little time.
